Overview:
Mary’s Woods at Marylhurst was an extremely advanced and ambitious project that elegantly blended the latest eldercare technologies with modern philosophies surrounding the expanding field of retirement facilities. The plans for the new community improvements called for the addition of 266 independent living apartments, 33 villas, an on–site health care facility with 50 assisted living units and 45 health care beds, a center commons, and a wellness center. To accommodate the expansion, the existing Provincial House (built in 1910) required extensive remodeling and four buildings had to be constructed to house the 33 villas.
Highlights:
- Hunter-Davisson was selected to oversee and manage the mechanical work for the entire project.
- By working directly with our general contractor team and several design and engineering teams, Hunter-Davisson was able to provide a total design package on the mechanical systems for the large-scale renovation of the Provincial House.
- Hunter-Davisson also added design recommendations and suggestions for the four new buildings.
